Why Patients in The Villages Love Us
Meet Our Incredible Dentists Near The Villages
Dr. Lisa Wadsworth, DMD
With nearly three full decades of experience in dentistry, Dr. Wadsworth has remained just as passionate about helping patients achieve their best smiles since the day she started. The best parts about her work are her incredible team members and being able to build strong relationships with people every day while making a positive difference in their lives.
Dr. Wadsworth was only 13 years old when she decided to pursue a career as a dentist. Growing up, she enjoyed watching her dentist work on her pearly whites in the reflection of his glasses. She found it extremely interesting and chose to do the same thing for others when she grew up. Years later, she attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate and graduate degrees, earning her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry in 1994. Today, she remains dedicated to continuing education to refine her techniques and expertise through her memberships in organizations like the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the International Team for Implantology Study Club.
Away from the office, Dr. Wadsworth spends her time with her husband and their two sons. Together, they live on Lake Weir and enjoy being outside and hanging out on the water on their pontoon boat!
Dr. Rishit Patel, DMD
Dr. Patel has been providing exceptional and comfortable dental care for well over a decade and he’s loved every minute of it. Having the great opportunity of watching patients’ smiles transform is incredibly fulfilling, and he strives to help people near The Villages and beyond achieve great oral health as well as boost their self-confidence in the long run.
Dr. Patel was inspired to help others by his grandfather—a physician—especially since he had a drive to make a positive impact on the lives of people around him. However, he decided to pursue dentistry due to its flexibility which would allow him to dedicate much of his time to his family as well as his career. He began his dental education in India, receiving his Bachelor of Dental Science degree from the Government Dental College in Ahmedabad. He later went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Boston University. Today, he remains committed to continuing education and is a member of several professional organizations, such as the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
If you don’t find him at the dental practice, Dr. Patel is at home with his wife and their beautiful children. His hobbies involve cooking, watching sports (like cricket, tennis, and football), and playing the guitar. Taking his family on trips to the beach and springs in central Florida is a great pleasure, and he also loves practicing photography whenever he has the chance.
