Dr. Lisa Wadsworth
Dr. Wadsworth brings 25+ years of experience to every consultation and procedure she performs, so she’s able to quickly put a patient at ease and ensure they remain comfortable throughout each appointment. For her, working with our wonderful staff and getting to know our patients are the best parts about being a dentist, and she can’t wait to help you achieve and maintain the strong, healthy smile you deserve.
Why did you decide to become a dentist?
Dr. Wadsworth knew that she wanted to become a dentist when she was 13 years old. She used to watch her dentist work on her teeth in the reflection of his glasses, and she thought it was so very interesting! Today, looking back, she says she couldn’t be happier with her career choice
Where did you study dentistry?
Dr. Wadsworth attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry in 1994, and she continues to refine her skills through memberships in several professional organizations, including the:
- American Dental Association
- Florida Dental Association
- International Team for Implantology Study Club
What do you like to do outside of the dental office?
Dr. Wadsworth has been married to her husband Rusty (also a dentist) for 28 years, and they have two sons, John and Zach. She and the family live on Lake Weir, so they enjoy spending a lot of their free time on their pontoon boat.
